“Clothing optional” describes a possibility, not the whole experience. Two resorts may permit nudity and still feel completely different: one can be quiet and private, while another is energetic, social, or lifestyle friendly.
Before choosing, look at where the policy applies—the beach, pool, private areas, or only selected spaces—as well as who is welcomed, whether the stay is all-inclusive, and how much privacy you want. Rules vary by property and should always be confirmed for your dates.

Read the atmosphere
These labels answer different questions. They are useful for comparison, but only a property’s current policy can tell you what applies during your stay.
Nudity is a choice in the places the resort designates. Clothing may still be required in restaurants, reception areas, or at particular times.
These terms often point to body acceptance, social nudity, and respectful community. Some properties expect nudity in certain areas, so “optional” should never be assumed.
A resort may cultivate a more social, sensual, and open atmosphere for adults. That does not remove the need for consent, privacy, or clearly defined house rules.
The focus is naturism or clothing-optional relaxation without a lifestyle-oriented environment. It may suit travelers looking for a quieter social experience.
The property accepts guests under its definition of a couple. This is separate from its clothing rules and does not, by itself, describe the atmosphere.
